BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – As the city of Burlington continues to look at ways to combat public safety issues, a local group has released the results of a survey from last fall examining one South End neighborhood hit particularly hard.

Members of the Vermont Interfaith Alliance went door to door in the King Street section of Burlington in September asking residents to complete a survey about their relationship with the police. Among the 13 issues examined, two were identified as the most significant: 1) property crime reduction and 2) improved communication with the police.

Cat Viglienzoni spoke with Debbie Ingram, the group’s executive director, about the results.
