CONCORD, N.H. (WCAX) – New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu says he will support whoever ends up being picked as the Republican nominee for president, even if Donald Trump is convicted in any of the 91 felony counts he faces.
Speaking Wednesday on CNN, Sununu defended his decision. “Let’s remember he’s running against Biden. We all need Biden to lose. This socialism, this Bidenomics, it’s all a bunch of bull.” Sununu said. “Yeah, I’m gonna support the Republican nominee. Absolutely. Yeah, like that shouldn’t shock anybody. That shouldn’t be a surprise to anybody that the Republican governor and most, actually, of America is going to end up going against Biden, because they need to see a change in this country.”
Sununu has endorsed Nikki Haley, who according to polls, is gaining on Donald Trump in the New Hampshire primary set for January 24. She is expected to get a big boost after Chris Christie announced in New Hampshire Wednesday that he is withdrawing from the race.
