DUMMERSTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A Dummerston woman has died from injuries she sustained during a structure collapse in the wake of Tuesday’s winter storm.
It happened Wednesday morning after 10:30 a.m. on Old Ferry Road. The Vermont State Police say June Howe, was badly injured when the roof of a house trailer she was dismantling collapsed on her, trapping her under the debris.
First responders were able to get her out and provide emergency care. She was taken to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital and then airlifted to Elliot Hospital in Manchester, New Hampshire.
Police say she died from her injuries Thursday afternoon.
