BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A new exhibit opening Saturday at the ECHO Leahy Center in Burlington aims to get kids interested in space.

It’s timely ahead of a total solar eclipse that’s set to cross right over us in April.

ECHO’s director of programs, Nina Ridhibhinyo, says they wanted to find an exhibit this spring that was space-themed, so they brought in “Mission Aerospace.” Families can explore the history of flight, navigation, NASA and more. They can even try their hand at building a paper rocket!

“I think a lot of the activities are really intuitive. There’s a lot of stuff you’ve maybe done before. Maybe you’ve made paper airplanes before but you get to do it on a much grander scale here at ECHO and maybe up your game a little bit,” Ridhibhinyo said.

The exhibit opens Saturday and will run through mid-May. Click here for more information.
