SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – South Burlington police say two of their cruisers are damaged after someone crashed into them with a stolen vehicle.

According to police, Samantha Jarvis and Matthew Cooke were found seemingly passed out in a stolen car in South Burlington community Saturday morning.

Police say Jarvis and Cooke did not leave the car when asked, and instead drove it into two SBPD cruisers.

Driver Jarvis then sped off towards Williston.

Police say Jarvis tried to escape from both the Hinesburg and Essex police department.

Essex PD tried to stop the car on Sand Hill Rd. after Jarvis caused two other cars to crash head on.

They eventually caught both Jarvis and Cooke.

Police took Jarvis to Chittenden Regional Corrections Facility where she is being held on $5000 bail.
