ESSEX JUNCTION, Vt. (WCAX) – Police are investigating another suspicious incident in Chittenden County involving a man trying to lure a child into a car. This time, it happened in Essex Junction.
Essex police say just before 4 p.m. Thursday, a man stopped a sixth grader walking to an after-school program.
The student told police an older white man driving a black sedan offered them a ride.
The student ran to the after-school location and told staffers there what happened.
Police are investigating and working to determine whether this is connected to several similar incidents recently reported in Burlington.
