MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) – The Vermont governor’s office in Montpelier was among those ordered to evacuate Tuesday afternoon.
Alarms at the Pavilion Building on State Street went off around 2:30 p.m. causing about 150 state employees from the treasurer, attorney general, and governor’s office to evacuate to the Statehouse. It’s still not clear what set the alarms off but employees got the all-clear signal after about 30 minutes.
Most workers only moved back into the building this month after it was closed since this summer’s devastating floods.
