DANBY, Vt. (WCAX) – Police have arrested two suspects in connection with a 2022 murder in Danby.
Isaiah Rodriguez, 17, of Springfield, Massachusetts, was found dead on Feb. 3, 2022, on the side of Danby Mountain Road. He had been shot several times.
Vermont State Police say Monday, troopers arrested Ashley Wicks, 32, and Shawn Bulson, 28, both of Bennington, on charges of being accessories after the fact to the deadly shooting. Wicks is also charged with conspiracy to commit murder. They are both due in court Tuesday morning.
Investigators say the deadly shooting happened after a fight among a group of people over drug trafficking and stolen firearms.
