BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Town Meeting Day is one month away and the two major party Burlington mayoral candidates have so far raised more than $200,000, about equal to the total for the last mayoral election in 2021.

As of the February 1st filing deadline, Democrat Joan Shannon has raised more than $133,000 with 353 donations. Progressive Emma Mulvaney-Stanak has raised just over $70,000 with 253 donors.

Mulvaney-Stanak has received around 12% of her support from out of state, while Shannon received just under 3%. With still a month to go, those campaign totals are expected to ramp up.
