BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Vermont State Police are investigating a suspicious officers say the death happened Tuesday afternoon.
The investigation began at about 3:00 p.m. when police received a report of an altercation on Chickadee Drive. Responding troopers found an adult man dead at the scene. The victim’s body will be taken to Burlington for an autopsy to confirm their identity and determine the cause and manner of death. Their name is currently being withheld.
As of right now, no one is in custody and police say they don’t believe there is a broader threat to the community.
We’ve also gotten reports of a heavy police presence at River Road in North Troy. Police won’t tell us what’s going on there but they do say it’s an active investigation.
