BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Flood resilience, climate change, and transportation infrastructure are among some of the top environmental issues facing the state this year, according to the Vermont Law & Graduate School’s annual top 10 list for 2024.

In selecting its annual list, the school’s Vermont Journal of Environmental Law recognizes that environmental issues are linked with many other areas of law and seeks to encompass a broad range of viewpoints and attitudes. Each item is accompanied by a journal article co-authored by a law student and a law professor unraveling the legal framework of the issue, explaining why it matters, and offering a creative solution.

So what made the list and why? Darren Perron spoke with the law school’s Jenny Rushlow.
