POWNAL, Vt. (WCAX) – Police have released the identity of a man who was found dead in Pownal on Tuesday, and they say he was stabbed to death.
Vermont state police on Wednesday identified the victim as Casey Gras, 36, of Bennington.
The medical examiner found Gras died of multiple stab wounds to the abdomen and chest, and that his death was a homicide.
The investigation began when troopers were called to a fight on Chickadee Drive at about 3 p.m. Tuesday, and found Gras dead at the scene.
Police said Wednesday night that no arrests have been made in the case. They said Tuesday that they did not believe there was any broader threat to the community.
