BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – The Great Vermont Coat Drive has collected more than 1,000 coats to help keep Vermonters warm this winter.

Approximately 700 of the coats will be given to the Vermont Department for Children and Families, and more than 300 will go to regional donation centers.

The Great Vermont Coat Drive ran for four weeks, during which new or gently used coats of all sizes were collected at all eight branches of the Vermont Federal Credit Union statewide.

WCAX teamed up with the credit union for the coat drive.
