Plattsburgh Police intercept ‘disgruntled’ former CVPH worker with loaded gun

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (WCAX) – Plattsburgh Police have taken an individual into custody following a tip that the former Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital worker posed a threat.

It happened Monday morning just before 9 a.m. Plattsburgh Police say state police dispatchers received information that a disgruntled former employee was believed to be en route to CVPH with loaded firearms.

Police say officers intercepted the car of the individual on Prospect Avenue. They say after initially failing to pull over or obey commands to exit the vehicle, the individual was eventually taken into custody without incident. They say a loaded firearm was found in the car.

There was no immediate information on the identity of the individual or potential charges.
