GREENVILLE, S.C. (WCAX) – As speculation over North Country Congresswoman Elise Stefanik as a vice presidential candidate heats up, she was not on a short list of names dropped by audience members at a Fox News town hall event in South Carolina.

Former President Donald Trump shared what qualities he thinks will make a good vice president. The audience in the pre-taped town hall was asked who they thought would be a good candidate. The names dropped included Vivek Ramaswamy, Ron Desantis, Tim Scott, Bryon Donalds, and Tulsi Gabbard.

“Honestly, all of those people are good. They’re all good. They’re all solid,” Trump said in response.

Stefanik and Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio are both leading an effort to symbolically absolve Trump from any culpability in the January 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol. Both say they would not have certified the 2020 election results had they been vice president, despite no evidence of fraud.
