ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt. (WCAX) – There is excitement in St. Johnsbury where Vermont’s only planetarium is getting ready for the rare total solar eclipse on April 8.
The Fairbanks Museum and Planetarium has plenty of programming planned for the day, with a block party featuring food trucks, education and more.
They’re expecting potentially thousands of visitors, and expect to set an all-time record for the museum.
“It’s going to be a big deal. So right now we’re taking multiple calls every single day about people wanting to know how to experience this really once-in-a-lifetime event. So we’re really excited,” said Adam Kane, the executive director of the Fairbanks Museum and Planetarium.
Kane says many of the calls are coming from out of state, particularly from Boston and New York.
