
BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Police say a would-be robber left a Burlington bank emptyhanded on Wednesday.
It happened shortly after 10 a.m. in the city’s New North End.
Investigators say a man walked into the Community Bank on North Avenue and handed a teller a note demanding cash. He did not show a weapon or make any threats.
Police say the would-be robber ran off empty-handed.
No one was injured.

Two other Vermont banks were recently hit by robbers who handed over notes to the tellers and did not show weapons in Essex Junction and Johnson.
