WOODSTOCK, Vt. (WCAX) – A Windsor County sheriff’s deputy has been suspended from the job.
We do not know which deputy is suspended or why.
Sheriff Ryan Palmer confirmed a member of his department is suspended with pay but said he is not allowed by law to comment on the specifics of a personnel matter.
It is standard practice that an outside agency would conduct the investigation.
The sheriff did tell us that the integrity of his department and transparency with the public are among his top priorities.
