WINOOSKI, Vt. (WCAX) – Winooski High School students faced financial realities Thursday morning through an immersive simulation.

The Financial Reality Fair’s goal is to equip students with practical budgeting and financial management skills, preparing them for real-world challenges.

Students learned how to properly manage finances and avoid debt when it comes to housing, groceries, and child care decisions.

“I think this is going to be helpful for me because I have this experience and I can go and create my own budget, save money, and just make good financial decisions in the future,” said Nick Furdine, a senior.

The fair was sponsored by North Country Federal Credit Union and was attended by state officials from the Department Financial Regulation and Treasurer’s Office.
