HUNTINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – It’s the season to enjoy some maple treats!
Various sugarhouses celebrated spring with Maple Open House Weekend.
Audubon Sugarhouse was one of the many that participated.
The sugar on snow experience is normally a two day event for the sugarhouse, but because of the snow, the business limited the event to just Sunday.
Some people say the nice weather made it enjoyable.
“We do it because we know it brings people a lot of joy and today with the sun shining like it couldn’t be any better, like we have fresh snow and the sun is shining and it’s awesome,” Audubon Sugarhouse Director of Conservation Jillian Liner said.
Visitors learned about the process of maple making and tasted different kinds of sweets.
