Police: Alleged child abduction investigation underway

ENOSBURGH, Vt. (WCAX) – Vermont State Police say they’re investigating after reports of an attempted child abduction in Franklin County.

Police say they received a call around 4:16 p.m. on Friday, in Lincoln Park on Main Street in Enosburgh. The alleged incident was from the 3:00 p.m. hour when school was let out.

State Police responded to the area to investigate, coordinate with school staff, and interview people in the immediate area. Police also reviewed surveillance footage.

At this time, police have found no evidence to support the initial report. The investigation into the call is still under investigation.
