ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt. (WCAX) – Police say a body believed to be that of a missing Vermont man has been found in New Hampshire.
Vermont State Police say Russell Matheson, 52, of Lunenburg, was reported missing last month.
Wednesday morning, the state of New Hampshire’s Dive Team found a body in the Connecticut River in the town of Dalton. It is believed to be Matheson. The body was sent to the medical examiner’s office in New Hampshire to confirm the identity and cause of death.
Vermont troopers are investigating but say the death does not appear to be suspicious.
