
BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – University of Vermont medical center says they are increasing emergency staffing ahead of the eclipse on April 8th.
That means more doctors, nurses and physician assistants to help with the potentially busy day. Officials say they are ready to see more patients.
They continue to emphasize the importance of wearing eclipse glasses.
“We will be ready in our Ed and also for our security, we’re enhancing security both in the hospital especially for traffic, we want to make sure that people shouldn’t be parking here aren’t here, so we have room for our patients and staff,” Dr. Stephen Leffler said.
UVMMC officials say while out make sure you’re not blocking any pathways where emergency vehicles need to get by.
