BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A group of Vermonters celebrated World Parkinson’s Day with a flash mob performance in Burlington.
The Movement for Parkinson’s dancers had to move inside City Hall after a rainy afternoon in the Queen City.
They said the performance was a celebration of community, movement and unity.
“The more you can hike, the more you can walk, the more you can do things with your body, the more you can defeat the disease,” dancer Chris Dubose said.
“It’s wonderful. It often brings tears to my eyes– the sense of community that they envelop and create,” said Sara McMahon of the Movement for Parkinson’s Program.
World Parkinson’s Day is observed each year on April 11.
