BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – The Granite State also saw an influx of visitors for the eclipse.

According to the New Hampshire Department of Transportation, 166,000 more cars passed through the state’s toll system over the weekend than the same time last year.

On Monday and Tuesday, 54,000 more vehicles passed through the Hooksett Plaza than the same days last year.

Traffic slowed to a crawl in some parts of New Hampshire’s north country, specifically on I-93 in the Franconia area, where the interstate goes down to one lane and the speed limit drops.
