BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Middlebury College economics professor Caitlyn Meyers has been closely tracking the impact of state abortion laws following last year’s Dobbs decision by the U.S. Supreme Court, including this week’s controversial court ruling in Arizona.

Arizona will soon join 14 other states that have banned abortion at all stages of pregnancy after a state Supreme Court ruling Tuesday found that officials may enforce an 1864 law criminalizing all abortions except when a woman’s life is at stake.

Darren Perron spoke with Meyers about how the state decisions are impacting women’s access to essential health care across the country.
