WALDEN, Vt. (WCAX) – A Hardwick man was arrested Saturday after police say he pulled a knife and stole a car in Walden. Police say 41-year-old Brook Stotesbury was getting a ride from 27-year-old Gerin Fortin, when Stotesbury pulled out a knife and attempted to assault Fortin. Fortin got out of the car, and Stotesbury took it. Police say in an attempt to stop him from driving away, Fortin was dragged down the road several feet before letting go of the door handle. Stotesbury was arrested in Berlin, and charged with aggravated assault and grand larceny. He’s also facing separate charges in Berlin, and will be in court in May.
