
BERLIN, Vt. (WCAX) – Vermont State Police arrested a Williamstown man in a theft investigation-turned-drug bust.
Officers say on Sunday they received a report of a theft from a home on Beckett Street. On Tuesday, state police executed a search warrant as part of the investigation.
While searching, police say they found 47-year-old Dana Patten in possession of stolen property, a large amount of suspected crack cocaine, heroin, and an illegal firearm.
Patten was also found to have two outstanding arrest warrants. He was taken into custody and transported to the Northeast Correctional Facility.
