PERU, N.Y. (WCAX) – New York authorities on Friday confirmed that the victim in a Peru homicide this week died of stab wounds after she was allegedly stabbed by her boyfriend.
Kevin Kosza, 27, was charged Thursday with the murder of Krysten Remy, 23. They say the two were involved in a fight at their home on Jenkins Street sometime Wednesday and that Kosza stabbed Remy. They say the crime was committed in the presence of the couple’s child.

Police say that earlier that morning, Kosza had been in a crash near the Canadian border. He was found in a field nearby and taken to the hospital. He pleaded not guilty in court Thursday to charges of murder and child endangerment. He is being held without bail and is due back in court on Tuesday.
