BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A new children’s book is out this month by Vermont author Tanya Sousa and illustrator Marcia Blanco.

“Rescued,” according to Sousa, is about dogs’ language and kids’ understanding that dogs have a way of speaking, and how to recognize some of that language.

Cat Viglienzoni spoke with Sousa and Blanco about the new book.

Sousa will be holding readings this month:

Cobleigh Public Library in Lyndonville on April 30 at 4:00 p.m.

Goodrich Memorial Library in Newport on April 30 at 6:30 p.m.
