CONCORD, N.H. (WCAX) – A man who allegedly vandalized cars at a New Hampshire Republican event is being held without bail after a judge said she was concerned about evidence found during a search of his home.

Lawrence Dunlap, 37, was arrested in connection with the vandalism of several cars that were keyed at a Republican event in Concord. Investigators said surveillance cameras captured Dunlap riding a skateboard in the parking lot.

Police who searched Dunlap’s Concord home said they found a duffle bag containing items like zip-tie handcuffs, face masks, dark clothing, latex gloves and a medieval mace, as well as several firearms and what’s being called a suicide manifesto.

Dunlap’s attorney said the items are not connected to the charges he faces related to the acts of vandalism and his client has no significant prior record.

The judge ordered Dunlap held without bail, saying she was concerned about both his safety and the safety of the community.
