BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Researchers at the University of Vermont are conducting a groundbreaking study about the molecular impact of exercise.
With nearly 2,600 volunteers, the goal is to create comprehensive molecular maps of the changes and uncover why physical activity has significant health benefits. In a series of papers published in Nature, Nature Communications, and Nature Metabolism, researchers have already laid out their preliminary findings.
Cat Viglienzoni spoke with Russell Tracy, a UVM professor of pathology and laboratory science, who is leading the efforts.
