
SPRINGFIELD, Vt. (WCAX) – Seven people ended up behind bars after a four-month-long investigation by the Vermont Drug Task Force.
On Thursday, officers from Vermont State Police and multiple other state and federal agencies carried out a search warrant on a home at 78 Valley Street, where law enforcement suspected cocaine and fentanyl were being sold.
While searching the house, police met Matthew Runnells, Corey Betit, Cody Greenslit, Amber White, and Elise Nuccio – all of whom had outstanding warrants and were taken into custody.
While searching the home police found evidence of drug use and distribution, including 42 grams of fentanyl and a loaded handgun in a room belonging to Jaylenn Baez and Zahira Dullary. Both were taken into custody on trafficking and possession charges.
