BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Misleading mobile carriers are cutting a multi-million dollar check, and some of that cash is coming to Vermont.
It stems from a multi-state settlement with a coalition of wireless carriers including AT&T, Cricket, T-Mobile, Verizon, and Tracphone.
Attorney General Charity Clark says the settlement resolves investigations into deceptive or misleading advertising.
Nationwide, the companies have to change some of their business practices and will shell out over $10 million.
Vermont will see about $67,000 of that.
