
HUNTINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A Fletcher man faces multiple charges after police say he shot at a house. Vermont State Police arrested 38-year-old Lucas Gingras.
Police say Friday night Gingras pointed a rifle at a man on Main Rd. in Huntington. They say he left in his car and returend and fired a shot at the house when a woman and juvenile were inside. He later retuend again and started to move towards the house.
Troopers then arrested Gingras on the scene and in his car they found a loaded rifle and a cross bow. Gingras is due in court Monday. Vermont State Police say Gingras is charged with aggravated assault, aggravated disorderly conduct, and reckless endangerment.
This is the same man who faced prison time after he fooled his girlfriend in a bear hoax in 2014. Gingras was charged with attempted murder but later took a plea deal. Police say he got his girlfriend to jump off a cliff while running from an imaginary bear in Milton. He claimed his girlfriend was injured while the couple tried to escape the bear.
