ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt. (WCAX) – Police on Wednesday released the name of the man who they say died in a drug-related shooting at a St. Johnsbury apartment Monday night.
The Vermont State Police say Matthew Lomasney, 47, of St. Johnsbury, died of gunshot wounds to the torso. They say Lomasney went to an upstairs apartment around 11 p,m, wearing a mask, and forced his way in. Police say someone inside the apartment shot him and that Lomasney then retreated, falling down the stairs.
Police say no arrests have been made.
Authorities say the Summer Street apartment has a history of drug activity.
