What if instead that sense of smell and taste wasn’t lost but distorted to the point where the taste of most foods was repulsive and smelled like moldy garbage or the bottom of a compost bucket? That’s what happened to Ashley Van Zandt of Lyndonville, a mother of two who works at Catamount Arts in St. Johnsbury.

In the latest edition of 802 News, Mark Johnson spoke with Van Zandt about the fear distress, and frustration she had for more than a year until she had remarkable treatment that jumpstarted her ability to eat most foods again.
