BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Corrections workers in the Granite State are getting a new piece of equipment thanks to a new policy.

The New Hampshire Department of Corrections announced the department-wide use of body cameras.

Every law enforcement officer within the department and all emergency vehicles will be outfitted with cameras.

Body cams were originally piloted on secure psychiatric units last summer. They will now be rolled out to include corrections officers in prisons and transitional housing and parole officers.
