BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – The Lake Champlain Community Sailing Center is getting ready for the beginning of the season this weekend.
Tomorrow the sailing center will officially open their new waterfront while also celebrating their 30th anniversary.
The new waterfront brings hoists, a new pier, and a launch ramp.
Officials say it will make for easier traffic flow and more welcoming for the community to use.
“It’s a huge milestone for the community sailing center this has been years in the making we have only been able to accomplish this due to the tremendous support of everyone around us and donors and supporters,” said Emily Ridgeway from the sailing center.
The opening celebration is from noon to 8:00 p.m. tomorrow and is open to the public, and the ribbon cutting will be held at 5:00 p.m.
