
BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A Burlington man is facing aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charges after threatening to stab a bartender on Church Street, police say.
According to Burlington Police, Keshawn Galloway, 23, had a dispute with a bartender over a mixed alcoholic beverage. Galloway is alleged to have grabbed the bartender’s shirt in a violent manner.
Police say the bartender brought Galloway outside where he pulled out a knife. Other people inside the bar helped with separating Galloway and the bartender.
Officers were able to locate Galloway who provided a false name initially, according to Burlington Police. They say he ignored their orders and resisted arrest.
Galloway is also facing charges for resisting arrest and providing false information to a police officer. Police say he also had an active arrest warrant.
He was transported to Northwest Correctional Facility and is being held on an additional $5,000 bail for the new charges.
