ST, JOHNSBURY, Vt. (WCAX) – A water main break in St. Johnsbury left thousands of people without water for hours Monday.
Officials say some 2,000 households west of the Passumpsic River were impacted, with some businesses forced to close for the day because of the problem.
Town Manager Chad Whitehead says the break happened in pipes under the river. Service was expected to be back on this evening. There is a boil water notice until further notice.
