WINOOSKI, Vt. (WCAX) – Classes to help students prepare for their financial futures are getting the Vermont Treasurer’s support.
Winooski High School is one of 13 public schools in the state that offers financial literacy courses.
It’s a course Vermont treasurer Mike Pieciak said has shown to save lifetime savings by $100,000.
Treasurer Pieciak, along with other finance and education leaders, visited the class at Winooski High, saying it’s an important topic and finance education should be available to all Vermont students.
