BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – The 47th New England Emmy Awards were held in Boston on Saturday.
WCAX is bringing home one ‘super’ Emmy Award this year. Chief Photographer and Journalist Joe Carroll won in the Light Feature (multiple reports) category for his work on the Super Seniors series. This is Joe Carroll’s third Emmy win for the series!
WCAX had been nominated for four regional Emmy Awards:
Joe Carroll got nods for his Super Senior segments and for a story about the 50th anniversary of the Berwick Fire in Rutland.
Jack Fitzsimmons and Michael Dugan were nominated for Catamount Corner.
And Darren Perron was nominated for his story about the Rita Curran cold case being solved.
