BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – The City of Burlington says they are prepping for July 3rd celebrations. Burlington traditionally celebrates the 4th of July the day before with a big fireworks show. The city says you can expect music and vendors to fill the waterfront again this year, but there will be an extra focus on traffic this year. That’s because of an exciting opportunity that same day, Vermont Green FC will have a game which will take some of the parking spots.
“We will be sharing parking with folks coming for that game and for the fireworks. A silver lining — you can come to Burlington get an amazing soccer game, keep your car there, take the bus down to see the fireworks and go back up and have a really fun day in Burlington.” said parks director, Cindi Wight
For people that want to watch the fireworks from their boat at the community boathouse marina, parks is reaching out to those who entered into the lottery.
