Cornwall man cited after gunfire incident on Route 30

CORNWALL, Vt. (WCAX) – A Cornwall man was cited after stopping traffic on route 30 and firing a gun.

Vermont State Police say they got reports of a suspicious person near the intersection of Swamp Road in the town of Cornwall…

When they got there, officers say they found 46-year-old Vincent Gardon had brandished and discharged a firearm on the shoulder of the highway. Police say he also stood in the middle of the road, stopping traffic while waving the gun around.

Gardon was taken into custody and released with a citation to appear before the Vermont Superior Court, answering multiple charges including reckless endangerment.
