ST. ALBANS, Vt. (WCAX) – Police often take steps to warn the public about suspicious people, but in a twist, one Vermont department is alerting its community to someone they say is not suspicious.
In a social media post on Thursday, St. Albans police said there is a door-to-door salesperson in the area who has registered with them and gotten a permit. They said he is a student from Estonia selling educational materials. Officers said he will be in the area for the next few weeks and may knock on residents’ doors.
Police said due to posts in some community Facebook groups, they wanted to make residents aware of the student-salesman and provide some information about him. They also shared a note from him.
