Sen. Hassan to visit Claremont for Pact Act announcement

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – New Hampshire officials will discuss veteran health care and lead pipes in our region on Friday.

Granite State Senator Maggie Hassan will be in Claremont, New Hampshire Friday morning to raise awareness about new expansions to the Pact Act.

The Pact Act changes how veterans exposed to toxic burn pits get health care from the VA, and now three new cancers have been added to the list that could entitle veterans to benefits.

Later in the day, Hassan will walk through downtown Claremont to discuss the more than $2 million of federal funding to help the city replace lead pipes in its waterlines.
