BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A new cat lounge in Burlington could make for the perfect remote workspace.
Founders of the Queen City Cat Lounge say they want to provide a space to study, work, or relax, alongside furry friends in need of a home.
Unlike a cat café, it’s bring your own beverage.
Eight to ten rescue cats ready for adoption will live in the lounge space designed to provide them with plenty of enrichment until they find a home.
Founders say it’s a great opportunity for both cats and humans.
“I know that every time I leave this space, I’m super energized and motivated, and I haven’t really felt that way in a really long time, so I would say there’s something special here. I would say we went into it designing for both, but we ended up designing for cats,” said co-founder Kristina Madarang Stahl.
With the help of community donations, the co-founders plan to open the lounge by late July.
