STOWE, Vt. (WCAX) – Several roads across Vermont closed Sunday evening after heavy rain fell throughout the day. A look at some of the closures as of 11:00pm Sunday.
In Stowe, North Stowe Hollow and Stowe Hollow Road are both closed due to washouts. Bryant Road and sections of Dewey Hill Road are also closed. Route 12 in Worcester at the Elmore line is shut down.
The Stowe fire chief says crews are working to fix the roads but they might not be open for a couple days. The chief asks that people be aware if they need to call 911 – there will be a delay — but there is a specialty vehicle to access those areas if needed.
We received viewer video from some areas across the state hit by parts of the storm take a look at the attached video.
Maura O’Neill took a timelapse video of the storm rolling past the camps in Alburgh Springs. Joyce Hersh sent us this video of water rushing onto Route 100 in Stowe Sunday afternoon.
A video from Kathy Smith she says this is a continual problem for Route 2 in Bolton. And a photo from Evan Moodie he took these two photos of the Haynesville Brook in South Walden just one day apart.
