FAIRFIELD, Vt. (WCAX) – A Fairfield home is a total loss after a fire late Sunday morning.
Officials are calling it a four alarm fire. They were called by the residents of a two story house on Howrigan Road around 11:30am. The homeowners say the fire started on their front porch and spread quickly. Fairfield fire Assistant Chief said everyone was outside the home when they arrived. They say the fire then spread throughout the home as well as the attached garage.
Officials suspect the fire was started by the gas grill on the porch, no one was injured.
